Are there different patient types?
Yes. The avatar can simulate a range of patient profiles — from cooperative to anxious. Presenting complaints and personality are controlled through the scenario, so you can train very different conversational situations.
Is this developed with medical faculties?
Trainexus grew out of a research project at the University of Bayreuth. Medical scenarios are built with subject-matter experts to model realistic history-taking and informed-consent conversations.
Is it suitable for OSCE preparation?
Yes. Trainexus is already used to prepare for OSCE and licensing exams. You can practise history-taking, informed consent and how to handle worried patients — as often as you like.
